I Try To Avoid Such Judgmental Pronouncements, But...

Updated: Nov 16, 2022

The recent hypocrisy of the contrast just stuns me. There has been much commentary, but no one on the right (the ones criticizing this) seems to want to call "Hypocrites" on the limousine liberals who said nothing when Joe Biden was shipping immigrants by midnight airplane flights by the tens of thousands. Oh but the angst and protest outrage when (Republican) governor of Florida ships only 50 illegal immigrants to Martha's Vineyard. They actually called out the National Guard to quickly transfer those people to a military encampment. There were also pointed accusations calling for criminal investigation of the state governors involved (principally Texas and Florida).

Joe Biden has loudly condemned Republican governors for "playing politics" with people's lives, shipping illegal immigrants to other US jurisdictions than those near the border. What pray tell are we to call Biden's own actions of inviting millions of folks to cross illegally, and then using Air Force midnight airplane flights to distribute illegal invaders to all points of the compass within our country? Mr. Biden had not been in office for a week, when he changed Trump's policies designed to discourage illegal border crossings.

Playing politics indeed. It is widely believed that the vast majority of the children of these illegals, born here as citizens, will grow up to be voting Democrats, assuring Democratic majorities and rule in perpetuity. I suspect that Democrat Party heirs and assignee's of Mr. Biden may be in for some unpleasant surprises. Many of the countries where these folks hail from are heavily un-democratic and inclined to set (and enforce) very un-welcoming laws for immigration in those countries. Mr. Trump got a large (and shocking to Democrats) piece of the Hispanic vote in losing to Biden. It seems likely (or at least possible) to me that many of the children of our millions of newly arrived illegals will be about emphatically closing the doors behind themselves in a few years.

Unfortunately other traditions of their countries are also likely to be continued here: Such things as routine bribery and corruption are rife where these folks come from. There is a strong tradition of a rich few oppressing and ignoring the rights of others, resulting in horrendously stratified and unequal outcomes for everyone. There are arrests at midnight, and incarceration for years without fair trials. Mr. Biden's cynical playing of politics (while braying about Republicans playing politics) has opened the floodgates. Ultimately millions (literally millions) of people whose values are not even close to our own have (with Biden's acquiescence and tacit encouragement) invaded our country and are already effecting a makeover.

In a few years we can (perhaps, but with reasonable likelihood to me) look forward to being Nicaragua, writ large. Already, our country has been irretrievably transformed by Mr. Biden carelessly ignoring our laws and values. I am happy that I am old and will see only the start of our country's long and terrible downhill slide, that now appears inevitable, to me.

You won't be the same person you were before the storm. From certain perspectives, this could be precisely what the storm was all about.
