Mix one teaspoon of raw honey with fresh lemon juice in warm water each morning. Over time, this small habit may help maintain mental clarity as years add up.

Per some (highly suspect) internet promotions and writing, this simple natural pick-me-up is credited with the start of what ended up being a moderately expensive Neuro Mind Pro supplement treatment

AND/OR

...a combination of Lithium Orotate and a special powdered form (or extract?) of honey. The source of this weirdness was the undeniable fact that many residents of the Mediterranean island of Sardinia live to an advanced age with no sign of dementia or brain function decline of any kind. Studies of why this is the case have shown that Sardinian water has lithium orotate as a naturally occurring mineral, and Sardinians generally use honey as a breakfast food, as commonly as Americans use coffee, for example.

I bought (from Amazon-dotcom) a supply of Neuro Mind Pro which Sue and I have just started taking, but so far not long enough to conclude that it helps memory. I added this blog entry to remind myself to follow up with the "natural way" of honey plus lemon juice, just for "suspenders and belt".

ALSO I might add that Sue already has an excellent memory, keeping in mind dozens of birthdays of friends and family and recalling details of events from years ago, that I also remember, but with nothing like her amazing clarity and assurance of details. ACCORDINGLY, she is "not a good test case" for whether or not a supplement improves memory.
